How are reviews collected?

Reviews are collected by a review aggregation provider, and typically sent to Flixmedia via API from that provider. Alternatively, the manufacturer can manually add reviews to an FTP server that Flix provides upon request.

How often do the reviews get updated?

The frequency with which reviews are updated is dependent upon the agreement with each manufacturer; they are typically updated daily.

Who manages the reviews?

The reviews provider is responsible for managing the reviews.

Do we need reviews on our own website to allow us to syndicate reviews through Flixmedia?

The brand must determine the source of reviews with the reviews provider.

Is there any filtration of the reviews?

Flixmedia does not moderate content after receiving it.

Can we syndicate reviews as a standalone widget on retailer product pages?

A retailer must accept at least one of the core products into which to inject reviews. Reviews cannot be syndicated individually.

Can the styling of the table be customised?

Flixmedia can update the logo and colours of the reviews template to match the manufacturer’s styling. Flixmedia can also add a disclaimer if a brand requests one.

Can I see that reviews have come from verified purchasers?

Yes, reviews from Verified Purchasers are marked as such; as are all

incentivised reviews.

What happens if a retailer has their own reviews area on their product pages?

Reviews are visible within the core products, separate from any reviews of

the retailer.
